Flying over Sweden

I am flying south from Stockholm to Paris while looking at this view. The whole area appears to be a frozen river delta. The landscape is either dark clumps of trees or flat areas of snow covered ice. I can see occasional brown paths through the ice connecting cities to the sea where ships are working their way through. It is no wonder that the Nordic countries built such strong and well made boats!

Copenhagen cold

This harbor outside the SAP Copenhagen office is partially heated by discharge from a power plant, and therefore has not frozen over since 1995. This year, however, is another story. Hello, global warming!
